Ursa warrior. What the ....

Ulfsaar The Ursa Warrior, once he was a strength hero, but still has enough vitality as an agility hero. Making him both a tank and a dps. A dps to run away where seen and a tank to makes you avoid atacking him. High armor and hp with the dps boosted with his high hp makes him a strong hero. Still there is no strong hero in dota according to others, but we can call it easy to play, easy to kill and not easy to die hero. And you can still be creative while playing =) At least a funny hero to play. But clearly overpowered.

Pros :

  • Where to start? Realy strong hero with lots of dps boost with his skill and high amount of hit point.
  • Cumulative dps that boosted with skills that makes surprise death in seconds for opponent heroes.
  • Realy usefull slow and instant damage with earth shock with a low mana cost.
  • Low mana cost skills.
  • Strong early, middle and late game hero that is never down.
  • Even strong without any quality item.

Cons :

  • If there is a con, we can call it he is a melee hero. The only proble is about him is getting close to enemy. Same as many other melee heroes =)
  • If we need an other then we can call it big sized hero that is easily targettable by enemy.

Skill Order : You must complate earthshock to lvl 4 first. Fury swipes at lvl 1. Earth shock at lvl 2 and 3. Overpower at lvl 4. Earthshoc at lvl 5. Enrage at lvl 6. Earth shock lvl 7. Fury swipes at lvl 8-9-10. Overpower at lvl 11-12-13. Enrage at lvl 14-16.

(Earthshock is not your main damage source. But as i said no clever person to stand there while ursa trying to hit him. So YOU HAVE TO use this and with same mana cost why not to use with more damage? Especially early game 220 damage and more slow is the way to your first kills. And your main damage source is fury swipes. Without it there is no reason to run away from ursa. Overpower just making their death a bit faster. So both for killing creeps and saving mana for earthshock, fury swipes first. And enrage lvl 1 is %4 of your current hp goes damage. That is realy handy skill. Especially when the mana cost is 0 and short cd. And making it lvl 2 before complate overpower is not a good idea. This way the damage output is better.)

Early Game :

Ursa has everything needed in his skills. We just need to feed him with ms at start. As known, an experienced player never stay there if ursa starts to hit him. So our goal is to hit the opponent enoug before he runs away. Then our first item choice as a boot should be ok. And some tango before we get the ring. Some people says vg is a newbie item. Yes it is imo =) But vanguard fits none of the hero as much as ursa(But don't forget axe also). So our second and third item choices must be vanguard and poor man's shield. Start with boots and tangos(I want to explain here why i use pt. Because i go for lothar build. So i do not need phase or some extra ms. Lothar is enough imo. Early game advantage of pt is better. If you realy need more ms at late game you can sell pt and buy boots of travel if you want). The item order have to be boots - stout shield X2 - slippers of agilityX2 - goves of haste - belt of giant strength - vitality booster (You can make pt agility pt if you want but imo str is better because it gives +180 hp and it is equal to about 11-12 damage with enrage. And the asp is ignorable because overpower is enough at that point. +180 hp is your advantage). These are the main items for ursa. These makes ursa complate. Other items just improvements. You can chose to buy vitality booster before gloves and belt because of nuke heroes that troubles you or safe playing persons that are hiding always behind the towers. With poor man's shield and vanguard lvl 1 towers does not mean a lot to you. You can easily go there, use earth shock,enrage and overpower and get the kill. If he does not die just an other earth shock should be enough. You are durable enough to stand against tower and creeps while chasing. Just stunners causes a bit trouble in this point. Use your enrage frequently. It is a free skill. And an other tip for enrage is it is not added to your white damage. It hits before ursa holds his arms and the normal white damage comes after it. For example you earth shock a creep group. And ranged creeps has low hp left. If enrage is active, he kills that creep with enrage damage without hitting and turns to other side and hits an other creep. It is just a micro managment. I prefer ganking with ursa rather than pushing towers. His skills are for hero killing.

Middle Game :

Middle game is where the ursa warrior shines. You should have str pt - vanguard - poor man's shield. As i said before, you are complated with these items. So this means you can go for an expensive long term item. As known, many people go for lothar in this point as i do. It looks like the best choice. Surprise atack, easy escape and usefull stats. And as i said above we can go for an expensive item. This can be guinsoo. Hehe sounds funny =) But belive me it works fine. But as you imagine a bit risky. But if you got money fast at middle game it is realy a good choice. But if you don not want risk go for lothar. An other choice would be Elu's scepter. Why? It is clear. Addition to fixing mana problem (there is no real mana problem infact) the main advantage of elu is +20 ms (realy usefull) and the cyclone. As ursa your main problem is the opponents that flee. Just use the combo cyclone + overpower + enrage + earth shock = Death for a weak hero. Also cyclone can be used on yourself to fill cd of lothar and earth shock to run away when in trouble. Now we go on from lothar. Guinsoo and elu's scepter are just optional. After lothar complated, go for some durability. Still no need a heavy damage item. As commonly seen, heart of tarrasque is a good choice especially to preparing for late game. It does not have in combat regeneration anymore but still mass hp boost and fast out of combat regeneration. But i prefer basher before heart. This improves your damage output. And a big plus againsty disablers. Then you can start your heart of tarrasque.

Late Game :

Now you have pt - vg - poor man's shield - lothar - basher - heart of tar. Now sell poor man's shield and go for last item. Commonly your last item will be blade mail. Especially if you are the strongest and most durable hero in your team. According to your high hp it is the best choice. And after bm you can sell your vg and buy an other heart of tarrasque. An other option is sell both vg and poo man's shield and buy one of these choices. Monkey king bar procs realy well with your overpower. Linken sphere or black king bar are other defansives for disturbing disablers. Bruza is an option also.

WTF? Please have some sense before actually making a guide like this.

FurySwipes + Overpower = main source of damage and you're gonna neglect that?

Ulti @ lvl 14-16? tat's simple crap.

Lvl 1 - 4: Alternate between Fury Swipes and Overpower

Lvl 5: Fury Swipes or Earthshock (situational)

Lvl 6: Enrage

lvl 7~: max Fury Swipes and Overpower, while adding enrage where possible. Then lastly, earthshock.

Items:

Vanguard and Vladmir (Core)

HoT

Phase Boot / BoT (Situational)

Blink Dagger

Then.. the rest you can kinda play around with
